Ever sat staring at a blank PowerPoint slide, wondering how to turn notes into something that looks professional?
Or maybe you’ve got a polished Word document, but no easy way to turn it into a clear, engaging presentation?
It’s a common problem – and one that takes hours to solve.
Microsoft just made it easier.
A new Copilot update now lets you create PowerPoint slides directly from a Word file. What used to take ages can now be done in seconds.
Here’s how it works: Copilot can generate slides from a section of your Word doc or the whole file. It builds ready-to-edit slides with your content already in place. No more copy-pasting. No more fixing layouts or formatting.
While it won’t yet manage custom branding or background designs, it gives you a professional starting point. Your team can spend less time fiddling with fonts and more time fine-tuning the message.
This is a real win for businesses. Presentations are still one of the main ways we pitch to clients, report to teams, and plan projects. But creating them can eat up valuable time.
Now, if your business already uses Microsoft 365 with Copilot, you can try this today. In PowerPoint, look for “New Slide with Copilot” under the Home tab, or click the Copilot button and select “Add a slide.”
The biggest benefit isn’t just speed. It’s freeing your team to focus on clarity and impact instead of getting stuck on formatting.
If presentations are part of your day-to-day, this could be a real productivity boost. And if you’d like help getting started with Copilot, my team is here to guide you.
